Ishtar (Ištar ; parfois Eshtar) est une déesse mésopotamienne d'origine sémitique, vénérée chez les Akkadiens, Babyloniens et Assyriens. Elle correspond à la déesse de la mythologie sumérienne Inanna avec qui elle est confondue, une même déesse se trouvant manifestement derrière ces deux noms.
