Within a month, utterly at one with the universe having finally resolved outstanding issues with his oldest and dearest friends, Killer Kane attended hospital to receive treatment for a persistent cold, was diagnosed with leukaemia and died two hours later.

He died 2 weeks after the gig, in July 2004 at age 55. His story is fully documented in the wonderful film, New York Doll – highly recommended!
