Ghost in the Shell 2.0 constituye una versión remasterizada de la película de 1995. Fue lanzada en el año 2008 con adición de efectos digitales, cambios de color en la fotografía y el diseño gráfico y algunas animaciones en CGI que reemplazan las animaciones tradicionales en 2D del film original, creando en suma una revisión gráfica alternativa de la película.
