Notting Hill není a ani se nesnaží být nějakým satirickým komentářem života celebrit, pouze konstatuje, že herci, jakkoliv slavní a bohatí, jsou také lidé. Výskyt scén tak krásných, až by byla škoda si je nezapamatovat, není kdovíjak obdivuhodný (to ostatně ani filmografie Rogera Michella), ale přinejmenším Grantovo „procházení jedním rokem“ za zmínku stojí.
