Banks is comfortable in her own skin: visually, sonically, and emotionally. It’s by no means perfect, but it is her personal triumph. Full Review.

  7. 30 de sept. de 2016 · The Altar’s title evokes Banks herself as a Goddess, the title of her debut, that she herself is praying to. Standouts “Gemini Feed” and “Mother Earth” also hit on this topic effectively. Unfortunately, however, The Altar, faces the same general problems that her debut did with an overstuffed tracklist that hides its gems with a tracklist made up of a lot of filler.
