Jo Jo Gunne. American rock band, formed in Los Angeles, California, United States, in 1971 by Jay Ferguson and Mark Andes after they had left Spirit. The band was named after a Chuck Berry song, "Jo Jo Gunne". They released their eponymous debut album in 1972 and had a top 10 hit song "Run Run Run" in the UK.

Curly Smith was een succesvolle studiodrummer en speelde in de jaren 1980 bij Spirit en in de tweede helft van de jaren 1990 bij Boston . Jo Jo Gunne werd in 2004/2005 in zijn oorspronkelijke bezetting heropgericht. Jay Ferguson, Mark en Matt Andes en Curly Smith toeren sindsdien weer samen en hebben in 2005 het nieuwe album Big Chain opgenomen.

Jo Jo Gunne was my favorite band in high school - the first lp came out when I was a senior, and it was the soundtrack to a lot of great times. So, it was with great interest that I ordered this new CD, 'Big Chain"(Great Title, by the way). The new CD has several new songs, along with some remakes of past Jo Jo Gunne classics.
