Not Rogers fault, but the scenario didn't work as well with so many characters serving as backdrops to the one star, when they all were in the same situation. Didn't become as full-dimensional as the story would be open for. The final moments with Ginger did touch on it's main purpose and was a fine and emotional way to end Tender Comrade (1943).
Centered around five women, all of whom have their men in the services and all of whom are contributing to the war effort in one way or another, Tender Comrade is a preachment for all that ...
