21 de feb. de 2003 · John Halas (1912-1995) was born in Budapest and had worked as an animator before moving to Paris. He moved to England in 1936 to work on Music Man, the first British cartoon in Technicolor. In 1940 he formed Halas and Batchelor with Joy Batchelor (1914-1991), a British animator and scriptwriter.
Vivien Halas also co-wrote the splendid Halas & Batchelor Cartoons: An Animated History with Paul Wells, while contributing to the documentary The Animated World of Halas and Batchelor. Halas & Batchelor , Great Britain's preeminent animation company from 1940 to 1995, are regarded as the United Kingdom's answer to Disney.
