Dire Straits had recently split up but were persuaded to reform for the event, bringing in Eric Clapton on guitar and backing vocals. The closing number, "Going Home", brought tears to my eyes and held the audience breathless. My only criticism of this DVD is that it's too short. The concert tour's song selections could easily have made "On The Night" a full 2-DVD set. I recommend "On The Night" wholeheartedly: this is Dire Straits presented at their very best.
