Unity Temple Wins Award. Frank Lloyd Wright’s Unity Temple won the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation National Preservation Award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation last week. The 1908 building is one of Wright’s most famous designs, and recently underwent a $25 million renovation. The temple was named a UNESCO World Heritage Site earlier this year.

26 de jun. de 2023 · A new book on Frank Lloyd Wright ’s Unity Temple in Chicago is actually a reprise. Back in 2009, photographer James Caulfield and writer Patrick Cannon collaborated on a book of words and photos of one of Wright’s best buildings. That was before architect Gunny Harboe’s $25 million restoration of the project, completed in 2017.
Frank Lloyd Wright’s Modern Masterpiece, Unity Temple is an homage to America’s most renowned architect. The film pulls back the curtain on Wright’s first public commission in the early 1900’s to the painstaking efforts to restore the 100 year old building back to its original beauty.
