Santa Fe Catholic High School is a college preparatory school that serves ninth through twelfth grade students. A coeducational institution of the Diocese of Orlando, Santa Fe Catholic officially opened on September 5, 1961. The 40-acre campus is located between Lakeland and Winter Haven and serves all of Polk County and the surrounding area.
In Santa Fe, only 60-70% of high school students graduate. As in all cities, this rate is even lower for students from ethnic minority and low-income backgrounds. Surprisingly, even highly motivated and high achieving low-income students have only a 31% chance of obtaining a bachelor’s degree by age twenty-six.
