Griffin Dunne began his acting career at the age of 19 when he was cast to play Herbie Johnson in the 1975 Larry Peerce-directed film ‘The Other Side of the Mountain.’ Soon after making his acting debut, Dunne realized that being an actor alone would deprive him of artistic freedom.
