The Aga Khan University celebrated the start of construction of its new campus in Kampala at a ceremony attended by the First Lady of Uganda, Her Excellency Janet Museveni, and Princess Zahra Aga Khan. AKU’s 60-acre campus is located in the Nakawa area, at New Port Bell Road and Jinja Road.

The Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) (Urdu: جامعہ عبد الولی خان مردان) (Pashto: د عبدالولی خان پوھنتون مردان) is a public university located in the Mardan District of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. [3] Established in April 2009, the university is named after Abdul Wali Khan, a prominent personality of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
