28 de oct. de 2022 · William Gilbert (or Gilberd) was born on May 24, 1544, at Colchester (Essex, England). In 1558 he moved to Cambridge and entered St. John’s College, where he obtained the degree of Doctor of Medicine in 1569. Around 1573 he moved to London, where he successfully practiced medicine and was elected president of the Royal College of Physicians.
William Gilbert, un médico y físico inglés, realizó un importante descubrimiento en el campo de la electricidad y el magnetismo.
