Mike Leigh (* 20. února 1943 Salford) je anglický dramatik, scenárista a filmový a televizní režisér. Na plátna jako režisér vstoupil již roku 1971 adaptací vlastní divadelní hry Bleak Moments, ovšem poté se dlouhá léta věnoval jen režii televizní.
Biografi. Mike Leigh ble født i Broughton i Salford i Lancashire. Han fikk et stipend til Royal Academy of Dramatic Art i 1960, og utdannet seg siden ved Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts, Central School of Art and Design, og London Film School. I 1965 begynte han å skrive og regissere sine egne skuespill.
