What if Superman became evil is what I would sum up Brightburn in a nutshell. And it does have an interesting concept, it's just poorly executed.

Little has been announced since the first film's release, but James Gunn did confirm the sequel was in the works in 2019. Brightburn 2 has already seen controversy due to The H Collective's plans to use AI in the film.
