Slide on this ist für mich die Beste CD von Ron Wood. Seine Erstelinge habe ich auf Vinyl und zwei seiner Scheiben auf CD. Slide on this gefällt mir am Besten, ist "typisch" Stones, aber auch wieder nicht. Wenn man die Gitarren-Riffs hört und die Machart der Songs, dann muss man unweigerlich an die Stones denken.
On a break from the Rolling Stones, Ron Wood worked on a solo album in 1992, recording “Slide on This” and releasing the album in September of 1992. The album was recorded in Dublin, Ireland where Wood was living at the time. Recording was done in both Ron Woods home in St. Kildare Ireland, and Windmill Lane Recording Studios in Dublin.
Slide on Live: Plugged in and Standing is Ronnie Wood’s first live solo album. It was recorded at The Ritz in New York, at the Avalon in Boston and at the Budokan in Tokyo in ’92/’93.
