You can complete the games content, including all 3-star fish, with just two weapons: a tranquiliser gun, and a net gun. Play it safe with O2. Always top up at all times. Forget about 3 star-ing anything. Bring a big ass rifle. Upgrade your suit and O2. Max both if possible. And finally, be patient. There's a metric fuck-ton of padding in the end game, which is annoying, but it is what it is.
