19 de may. de 2024 · The Palau Nacional was built for the 1929 World Fair, and since 1934 is has housed the national art museum with over 250,000 works of art. If you're not interested in the MNAC museum, the wonderful view from the Palau Nacional alone is worth the hike up the Montjuïc .

You could easily spend several hours immersing yourself in its artistic and architectural marvels. The museum’s mission is to showcase Catalan art from the 10th to the 20th centuries.

He has been director of the National Art Museum of Catalonia since January 2012. Previously, he was director of the Picasso Museum in Barcelona (2006-2012), deputy general director of museums at the Department of Culture of the Government of Catalonia (years 2005 and 2006), Head of Programs at the La Pedrera Foundation (2001-2005) and Coordinator of traveling exhibitions at the MACBA (1996-2000).
