Aside from a graphic depiction of Christ’s crucifixion, Gibson is filming the entire movie in Aramaic. For those of you who have never heard the Aramaic language and assume there will be subtitles (this is the “downright daring” part), there won’t be any. Gibson is ardent about no subtitles at this point.
