Death Valley holds the record for the highest air temperature ever registered on earth. On July 10, 1913, a temperature of 134°F (57°C) was measured at Furnace Creek. Summer temperatures are regularly high, often exceeding 120°F (49°C). Coincidentally, Death Valley’s lowest temperature was also recorded in the same year.
