Vuk is the main antagonist of X-Men: Dark Phoenix, and is part of a shape-shifting alien race known as the D'Bari. Vuk was a member of the D'bari alien race. At around 500 BC, his spaceship crash landed on Earth, imbedding itself at the bottom of the sea. Being unable to free it, Vuk searched for help, but the humans feared and attacked him so he used his Ray Gun to turn the attackers to stone. This event would cause Vuk to be mistaken as the legendary Medusa.
