  1. 22 de nov. de 2004 · Carl was one of the best, supportive bass players ever. I love his lines on "Let It Rain" by Clapton. He was a great example of a cat who could play a lot more than he did, but had the good sense not to.

  2. Dec 11, 2007. West Virginia. Gotta chime in for Carl Radle. Great player, great groove, tone. I believe he played bass on JJ Cale's "Naturally" album too. Before I knew the name, I liked the feel of the playing. Kind of like Jamerson and David Hood in that way. Jun 26, 2008 #17.

  6. 29 de oct. de 2019 · Radle’s bass line on “After Midnight” is a bouncy gospel groove. It is essentially a country bass line with embellishments. The ghost notes give it a percussive feel and infuse it with a sort of instant kinetic energy. The bass line would work without them, but the ghost notes are what makes it groove.

  7. 8 de jun. de 2005 · Mar 23, 2003. Delaware (USA) I have immense respect for Carl Radle. He is one of the few bass players, along with John Paul Jones, whose bass lines I go out of my way to play note-for-note. They can’t be improved upon, and learning them is going to school.
