Come Out is a 1966 piece by American composer Steve Reich.Reich was asked to edit down tape footage into a form of collage for a benefit for the Harlem Six and Come Out was a byproduct of the collage's production. The Harlem Six were six black youths arrested for a murder of Margit Sugar, a Hungarian refugee, in Harlem in the weeks following the Little Fruit Stand Riot of 1964.
Disc face states Manufactured in Germany by Record Service GmbH, Alsdorf but since it was manufactured 1994 or later (SID code present) the plant would then have been trading as WMME Alsdorf. Submission based on a copy bought new in September 1998 so must be an earlier pressing than Steve Reich - Early Works whose matrix includes '10/98'
11 de abr. de 2019 · This might be the most recognizable Steve Reich album to me. Come Out was used in America's Most Blunted. I seen the Clapping Phase being put on YouTube videos, simulating the phase of the song. But mainly, the track I know is "It's Gonna Rain". The track(s) are about a Bible verse of Noah, and Steve does weird sampling tricks on this.
