25 de jun. de 2015 · Somewhere, I still have a vinyl copy of this masterpiece, properly titled "Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds' ". It was a favorite of mine back in the day, blending the best of audio drama and progressive rock music, narrated by Richard Burton. It's great fun to hear it again after so many years.
Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds – The New Generation is a 2012 concept album by Jeff Wayne and is a re-working of his 1978 concept album, retelling the story of the 1898 novel The War of the Worlds by H. G. Wells. As previously, the music format is predominantly progressive rock and string orchestra, but with synthesizers playing a more prominent role.
