  2. 24 de oct. de 2013 · Fish Rising serves as a continuation of the musical format presented on "You" by Gong, which was released the previous year. Just like its counterpart, the music on "Fish Rising" is very spacey with loads of atmospheric synthesizer work from Tim Blake, technically superior drumming from Pierre Moerlen, virtuosic guitar work from Steve Hillage, and rumbling bass playing from Mike Howlett.

Steve Hillage (1974) Steve Hillage (* 2.August 1951 in Chingford, London, als Stephen Simpson Hillage) ist ein britischer Musiker und Produzent.In den frühen 1970er Jahren war er Gitarrist bei der Band Gong.Ab 1975 veröffentlichte mehrere Alben unter seinem eigenen Namen. 1991 gründete er mit Miquette Giraudy das Projekt System 7, das Alben mit elektronischer Musik veröffentlichte.

  6. 11 de dic. de 2004 · fish rising is on of my favorite albums. It's very spacey and mellow at times, then Hillage explodes into an awesome solo, but never going too far. Dave Stewart on keys is also a huge plus, giving it a slight caterbury sound which I adore. Space rock at it's best, it's a shame Hawkwind were never near as good as this.

  7. More recently, Steve Hillage was one half of the electronic dance duo, System 7. He also teamed up with ambient musician Evan Marc in 2008 to record the album "Dreamtime Submersible". The album reviewed here, "Fish Rising" (1975), is his first album in a long solo career spanning four decades and seven studio albums.
