Here's how mejai's really works. You're playing an AP champion. You picked up a dark seal early on managed to pick up some kills and assists, so you finish the item. You now have a 1600 gold item giving you 70 AP, 100 HP, and 10% ms. You were already ahead, and now you've catapulted yourself even farther ahead essentially for free.
Bug Fix: Upgrading Dark Seal to Mejai's Soulstealer and refunding the purchase no longer sometimes result in the loss of all Glory stacks. Unknown patch. Undocumented/Bug Fix: No longer loses its stacks if the owner momentarily upgrades to Mejai's Soulstealer and uses undo afterwards. V11.16. Ability power per stack reduced to 4 from 5.
