As Cyrille Verdeaux has made his home in California for many years, on Infinite Symphony (67 minutes) Clearlight features a mostly American lineup, with the late Shaun Guerin on drums plus the venerable Didier Malherbe on flute and sax on several tracks. Despite the passage of time, this sounds like vintage Clearlight, with the addition of Shaun’s very Peter Gabriel-like vocals on one track.

Clearlight is a French progressive rock band formed in 1973, although their best known work was produced in England and released by a major British record company. While progressive rock is an appropriate overall genre for the band, much of their work delves into other genres including psychedelic music , jam band music, symphonic rock , space rock , jazz fusion , and new-age music .
