Although it deviates from the atmospheric and introspective sound they later became known for, the inclusion of this track in their discography highlights Pink Floyd’s willingness to explore various musical styles and experiment with different artistic expressions.

One of its first U.S. television appearances was a surreal performance on Dick Clark’s “American Bandstand” in 1967, in which the band mimed its way though the song “Apples and Oranges.”
