David Essex 's tour will see the iconic singer perform throughout Britain in August and September 2024, culminating in a concert at the historic London Palladium.
David Essex OBE is an English singer-songwriter and actor. From 1973 to 1994, he had 19 Top 40 singles in the UK and 16 Top 40 albums. Internationally, Essex had the most success with his 1973 single "Rock On". He has also had an extensive career as an actor.
The Real Thing toured with David Essex extensively, including his American ‘Lamplight’ tour, and exposed the band to a more mainstream pop audience. Whilst in the US they even headlined at the famous ‘Bottom Line’ club in New York’s Greenwich Village, performing with three of the hottest black musicians in the city – John Lee, Reggie Lucas and Jerry Brown, who had all played with ...
David Essex. English singer, songwriter, and actor, born 23rd July 1947, in Plaistow, London, England. He began his musical career in the 1960s, and by the early-1970s had become a hugely popular recording artist. As an actor he has performed in films, musical theatre, and TV shows, including the soap opera 'Eastenders'.
