Bigelf were formed in 1995 around the talents of Damon Fox (vocals/keyboards), Ace Mark (guitars), Duffy Snowhill (bass), and Froth (drums), and -- long before breaking in their homeland -- they found a European audience for their epic compositions, due in part to their penchant for vintage gear, complex harmonies, and over the top live performances.

9 de dic. de 2014 · Bigelf Damon says being retro 'saved' them. Bigelf frontman Damon Fox says he hopes the band can “ride the wave” of the prog storm they helped create. Fox says the band are enjoying what he describes as the current prog revival, but adds that they took “so much shit” for their retro sound and their 70s flair when they emerged in the 1990s.
