  4. 3 de may. de 2018 · The path to the discovery of the molecular structure of DNA was one of the most dramatic in the history of science. This volume is the complete story of that landmark event. The roots of the story of the genetic "secret of life" are in nineteenth-century molecular biology; in 1869, a substance which corresponded to DNA, "nuclein," was discovered.

  5. Left panel: illustration of the antiparallel structure of DNA. A short segment of DNA double helix is shown, composed of two DNA strands held together by hydrogen bonds between the bases. The strand on the left has a phosphate group exposed at its top (5' end) and a hydroxyl group exposed at its bottom (3' end).

  6. Description. Introduced by science historian Evelyn Fox Keller, the film begins with a clip from 'The Cambridge Story' (1953?), showing Francis Crick and James Watson, two of the scientists responsible for the discovery of the structure of DNA.
