En The last black man in San Francisco no hay una dictadura, pero hay un expropiación, un vacío de pertenencia hilado por una fantasía del protagonista, y es por donde se mueve el filme, que está eso sí muy bien dirigido por el novato Talbot, los primeros 30 minutos son realmente potentes a nivel visual.
