Producción. La película fue rodada en Marruecos y fue un acortamiento de una miniserie italiana de 300 minutos que fue estrenada llamada Il principe del deserto. [2] Para hacerla el director italiano Duccio Tessari se orienta en los referentes de las películas de suspenso norteamericanos para dirigirla.

Zorro is a 1975 swashbuckler Spaghetti Western Italian/French international co-production film based on the character created by Johnston McCulley, The film was directed by Duccio Tessari and stars Alain Delon in the title role. It was shot in Almería, Spain. Ottavia Piccolo and Stanley Baker also star, with Zorro being Baker's final film before his death in 1976.

Tony Arzenta is a slick, adrenaline-pumping, gore-splattered rollercoaster - it may make you sick, it may make you feel disgusted, it may even put you off the colour red for the rest of your life, but you won't want to get off. Delon's subsequent collaboration with Tessari, Zorro (1975), is laughably tame by comparison.
