Bio. Danny DeVito was born and raised in New Jersey. He studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, graduating in 1966. He began acting in films in 1970, and in 1975 he reprised his theatrical role for the film adaptation of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Three years later, DeVito landed the role of Louie De Palma in the TV sitcom Taxi.

Lucy Chet DeVito (born March 11, 1983) is an American actress. She was a recurring character on ABC Family's Melissa & Joey (2010–2012), starred in the Hulu sitcom Deadbeat (2014–2015), and was a main voice actor and executive producer of the FXX animated comedy Little Demon (2022). DeVito has appeared in a number of theater productions, including her Broadway debut I Need That (2023).
Danny DeVito almost certainly isn’t the first actor that comes to mind when you think of L.A. Confidential — that honor most likely goes to Russell Crowe, Guy Pearce, Kevin Spacey, or Kim Basinger — but his character, publishing sleazemonger Sid Hudgens, was still crucial to the story, setting in motion some key moments in the storyline and serving as the film’s narrator.
