Il gagne en reconnaissance, joue de plus en plus devant un public sans cesse croissant. Il interprète même un rôle au cinéma dans le film Crossroad. Il est par la suite contacté pour remplacer Yngwie Malmsteen au sein du groupe Alcatrazz.
