Love and Understanding is the eighth studio album by jazz saxophonist George Howard, released in 1992 on GRP Records. The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Albums chart and No. 32 on the Billboard Top R&B Albums chart.
The last track on Steppin' Out is called "Dream Ride", and features Howard playing soprano saxophone. The track was promoted in 1984 in the United Kingdom by DJ Robbie Vincent, and is now a classic among soul and jazz enthusiasts.
