Renee Louise Hart (nee Hertzog) passed away on January 29th, 2022 surrounded by her. husband and children after a brave, seven-month fight against metastatic cancer. Renee was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania, on October 26th, 1965. Her family later moved to. Maryland, where she spent her teen and adult years making lifelong friends.
Mary Louise Hart was Associate Curator of Antiquities at the J. Paul Getty Museum. Dr. Hart is a specialist in the art history and iconography of ancient Greek and Roman myth, epic and theater, speaking and teaching internationally on these topics, including at LA Opera, where she lectures on ancient themes in the operatic canon.
