The Only Ones' Peel Sessions stem from several sessions from September 1977 to May 1980- sad to think they've become a bit of a lost band, as along with Buzzcocks & The Undertones, they were amongst the most melodic of the post-punk bands.
Discogs: 1989 Vinyl, The Peel Sessions Album. ... This came out at the very end of the 80s - when the Only Ones were finding a new audience thanks to several of the new indie bands of that era name-checking them. It blew me away - I then bought the studio LPs and they just sounded totally floppy compared to this beast.
