During the 60's and 70's Magee, Pat Harral and John Trice explored and surfed the west coast of Mexico extensively. A 1973 trip to El Salvador paid off with a month of great surf at Zunzal. Pat first met Robert August of the "Endless Summer" fame in San Blas, Mexico in 1969. They surfed Mexico and Costa Rico for years thereafter.
