And so much of BL, especially Japanese and Taiwanese BL, is pulling inspiration from those yaoi stories. Stepbrother plots are basically inevitable because of this. 7 de jun. de 2021 · You have a great point. It’s like they’re running out of ideas and have now put in the step sibling story lines. It is awkward and it is very uncomfortable. As one who has step siblings, it is weird in a way. Like my older step brother is awesome. I’m younger so he takes care of me and genuinely brother affection.

There are no other mentions of the relationship between Brennan and Derek's parents, and, more specifically, no other mentions of Brennan and Derek's biological father. Because of how they act around their new step dad, Robert, it can be assumed that Brennan and Derek's father left them high and dry after the divorce.

The two step brothers are half a complete person in a way, like a yin-yang and together they go on a journey the hero’s journey, grow, and reach enlightenment. The parents getting married are like the wise old sage pulling the naive Hero(s) across the threshold with a Call For Adventure, before their parents getting married these guys are Luke shooting womprats in the canyons.
I've watched step brothers a million times and I always quote it. I even asked my sister what the line was after they built the bunk beds, and she thought the same as me. Her boyfriend also agreed it was 'so much room for activities'. There is even a meme that has it as the caption.
