Bandgeschichte. Better Than Ezra gaben 1988 ihr inoffizielles Debüt mit der Demo-Kassette „Chimes Street Demo“. Zwei Jahre später folgte mit „Surprise“ im Jahr 1990 dann das erste offizielle Album. Nachdem Gitarrist Joel Rundell im August des gleichen Jahres durch Selbstmord starb, legten die verbliebenen Bandmitglieder eine Pause ein und fanden sich Ende 1990 wieder als Trio zusammen.

After having their 1993 self-released sophomore album Deluxe repackaged and reissued by Elektra in 1995, and scoring a hit single with "Good," the band quickly reconvened and recorded the follow-up Friction, Baby. What the 1996 album lacks is the killer-hook single, but what it gains is confidence.

How Does Your Garden Grow? is an album by the American alternative rock trio Better Than Ezra, released in 1998 via Elektra Records. It was the band's second album with drummer Travis Aaron McNabb. The album peaked at No. 128 on the Billboard charts. The first single, "One More Murder", peaked at No. 32 on the Billboard Modern Rock charts, while the second single, "At the Stars", peaked at No. 17.
