Pomp & Circumstance March No. 2 in A minor op. 39 (1901) This was sketched on 1 January 1901 and completed on 13 August of that year, a month after No. 1. It is considered by some to be the finest of the set, and was dedicated to Granville Bantock, the composer, conductor and, from 1897, Musical Director of the Tower in New Brighton.
