The Children’s Theatre of Winnetka was founded in 1974 when Community House drama teacher Barbara Weldon and executive director Tom Fritts agreed to develop a theater company exclusively for children. After its first production ( A Christmas Carol in 1975) was a success, the organization grew and continues to put on popular plays today.
