Thieves Quartet is a very well directed piece, one that is compelling to watch. As someone who truly enjoys jazz music, I really enjoyed how the music was woven into the film. Films like this, that don't (or didn't) have extraordinary advertising $$'s backing it, often get overlooked, but I wouldn't overlook this one.

THIEVES QUARTET is an unimaginative film noir about a "sweet caper" that goes sour when greed gets in the way of loyalty after four criminals commit the perfect crime. There is plenty of offensive material to go around in this poorly acted and poorly written thriller, especially in the areas of language and violence.
