Personal life. Soma was born in Manhattan, New York, the daughter of Italian-immigrant parents, Antonio Angelo "Tony" Soma, an entrepreneur; and Angelica (née Fantoni; 1891–1933), an aspiring singer and actress. Enrica was known by her nickname "Ricki". Her father ran the famed Tony's Wife restaurant in Manhattan, a popular celebrity dining spot for folks like Dorothy Parker.

Entica, commonly known as Ricki, was a prima ballerina, model, and aspiring actress. She passed away in 1969 the result of an automobile accident in France.
His fourth marriage was to Enrica Soma. This marriage also ran into trouble but the couple never divorced. Soma died in a car accident in 1969. His fifth and final marriage was to Celeste Shane which also ended in divorce like his first three marriages.
