Hoewel, als je kijkt naar de hoeveelheid verfilmingen wint A Christmas Carol het met gemak. En deze TV-film met Patrick Stewart is prima. De film is trouw aan het boek van Dickens en lijkt stap voor stap op de verfilming uit 1951 met Alastair Sim.

Stewart's performance is reasonable, but for someone who has played the part of Scrooge over a number of years I anticipated better.
