Over the course of 35 years, the Canadian duo of Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber have explored electronic music terrain as Delerium that saw a series of early albums experiment with filmic, dark ambient instrumental sounds, before they evolved into an outfit with a penchant for inviting their favourite female singers to lend their voices to ethereal, downtempo songs included on every new record.
Bill Leeb, född Wilhelm Anton Leeb 21 september 1966 i Wien , är en musiker som numera innehar kanadensiskt medborgarskap. Han blev, under pseudonymen Wilhelm Schroeder , medlem i industrialbandet Skinny Puppy 1982 , tog hand om ett fåtal basslingor och spelade keyboards på de tidiga Skinny Puppy skivorna Bites , Remission och singeln "Stairs and Flowers".

3 de mar. de 2018 · Early History of Front Line Assembly. Bill Leeb formed the electro-industrial band in 1986 after he left the industrial group named Skinny Puppy. The latter band was formed in 1982. Many music fans and experts considered the band to be one of the main founders of the music style known as “electro-industrial.”.
Bill Leeb : “At first, we thought about that. Ironically enough, though, because most of our tunes are still songs we just got a real drummer and a bass player and a guitarist, then keyboards, and just sort of played them out and it sounded basically fine. Then having 2 or 3 singers … we made sure the singers we got could cover all the songs.
Mitglieder/Geschichte. Delerium war immer ein Duo, aber Bill Leeb ist das einzig konstante Mitglied der Band. Leeb war Gastmusiker und einer der frühen Unterstützer der Industrial-Pioniere Skinny Puppy, die er 1984 verließ, um mit Michael Balch Front Line Assembly zu gründen. Delerium folgte später als Nebenprojekt mit dem ersten Album Faces, Forms & Illusions.
