To commemorate the 60th anniversary of The Beatles’s arrival in the U.S., Liverpool’s The Savage Young Beatles recreate the raw, rough, wise-cracking, amphetamine-addled, hard-rocking shows the Pre-Fab Four were infamous for performing at the height of their Hamburg, DE and Liverpool, UK residencies (1960–1963) right up to their appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
Their hair was all the same length and became the "Beatle cut". Finally, they first donned their famous collarless suits. Recorded 26 November 1962, the single "Please Please Me" b/w "Ask Me Why" was released on 11 January 1963. In February, the single reached the top of the charts. The days of the savage young Beatles were nearing the end.
