3 de feb. de 2023 · FORMER MP turned metro mayor Andy Burnham visited Atherton and Leigh Foodbank this week to show his support for their new initiative amid rising food bank usage. Following the difficulties of the cost of living crisis, more emergency food parcels have been given out by the Atherton and Leigh food bank since April 2022 than in any previous year.
Andy Young – Made 611 appearances from 1945 until 1960. Andy Leigh – 487 appearances from 1948 to 1963 before running the club’s Development Association and then becoming groundsman until 1994. Andy was a lovely and doting father, son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, and was just 23 years old when he was taken away by suicide, sadly and tragically without warning.
